How The Nervus System organizes your work for you.

A plain-language guide for anyone deciding whether Nervus fits their team: what it does, what you do, and what stays in your control.

Overview

The Nervus System and Nodis

The Nervus System is the connected workspace for your meetings, projects, tasks and documents: it keeps them together and keeps the links between them. Nodis is the AI assistant powered by it. Nodis takes notes in your calls, turns decisions into tasks you approve, and answers questions about your work with the sources attached. See how it all connects →

  • Meetings: a notetaker for Google Meet and Zoom, plus recording and uploads for everything else
  • Ask Nodis: questions answered from your own meetings, projects and documents
  • Projects and tasks: boards, lists, My Tasks and reports, including projects synced from Jira, Asana or Notion
  • Knowledge: documents and folders, including folders from Google Drive. Open any file inside Nervus, or write Word-style documents with autosave and version history
The big picture

How your work fits together

Most tools make you choose where something lives and then remember where you put it. Nervus keeps related work connected instead, so a meeting, the project it was about, the decision you made and the document it changed all point to each other.

One subject, everything related to it. The dashed item is a suggestion you can accept or change.
Concepts

Concepts

DefinitionA concept is an ongoing area of your work, like a system, client, team or initiative, that matters beyond any single task or project.

If your weeks revolve around NetSuite and HubSpot, those are your concepts. Everything related to NetSuite, from the project plan to Thursday's meeting notes, gathers under it, even when it started in different places.

You don't file things into concepts. Nodis does that as you work and shows where each item landed with a small tag.

NetSuite HubSpot Payroll · suggested

A solid tag means the item is linked. A dashed one is a suggestion. Either one can be changed in a click.

How things join a concept

  • A project in a concept brings its tasks with it
  • A folder in a concept brings its documents and subfolders with it
  • Move a document to another folder and its concept follows
  • Meetings join through their project, or Nodis suggests where they belong
  • Chats can be linked to a concept, but never have to be
  • One item can belong to two concepts, like an integration spec under NetSuite and HubSpot

Ask about one area of work

Ask from a concept's page, or name the concept in your question, and Nodis keeps the answer inside it. Meeting prep, catch-ups and drafts use only that concept's work, and work from your other concepts stays out. Nodis also knows a concept's other names, so "NS" and "NetSuite" mean the same thing. To look across everything, just ask it to look wider.

Concepts

Concepts vs. projects

Ask one question: will this still matter after the work is done? If yes, it's a concept. If it has a finish line, it's a project.

Projects usually live inside a concept. A one-off project with no bigger subject behind it doesn't need one, so just track it as a project.

Day one

Getting started

Setup takes a few minutes, and you never have to build a structure before Nervus becomes useful.

  1. Sign in with your Google or Microsoft work account. There's no new password.
  2. Connect what you use, such as your calendar, Zoom, Google Drive, Jira, Asana or Notion. Every connection is optional.
  3. Name one or two areas that take up most of your work. If you connected tools, Nodis suggests them for you to confirm.
  4. Choose how much Nodis may do on its own. Most teams start where Nodis prepares and you approve.

That's it. Nodis organizes the rest as you work and offers new concepts when it notices a subject coming up often.

Integrations

Bring your existing work

Already have years of work in other tools? Connect them and Nervus starts with your history instead of a blank page.

ToolWhat Nervus does with it
Google Calendar, ZoomShows what's coming up and prepares you for it. Read-only, so Nodis never edits, moves or cancels anything.
Google DriveShows the folders you pick inside Documents and reads them so you can ask about them. Read-only, and files stay in Drive.
GmailReads only the labels you choose, to pick up decisions and commitments. Read-only.
Jira, Asana, NotionBrings in the projects you pick and keeps them in step both ways. Edits you make in Nervus go to the tool first, and the tool wins if both change.
  • You choose exactly which folders, labels and projects to include
  • Nodis never reorganizes your tools, and concepts stay inside Nervus
  • People only see what they can already open in the original tool

What you get back

Because your work stays connected, the right context shows up without you searching for it.

  • Meeting prep: before a call, see the related projects, past decisions and documents that changed
  • Answers with receipts: ask what was decided and see exactly where it came from
  • Project history: follow how a project's decisions changed over time, and why
  • Drafts from your own history: start new documents from how your team handled similar work
Trust

Staying in control

Nodis is built to prepare work, not to act behind your back.

  • Agent Authority: choose one of five levels, from Observe to Higher autonomy, and set each action to allowed, ask first or never. Your settings are saved with your account
  • Approvals: below level 4, anything that changes your work waits in your Inbox for a yes
  • Acting within limits: at level 4 and up, what you allow happens on its own: tasks from your meetings, keeping task statuses current, a weekly report, the notetaker joining your calls. At most 50 a day
  • Workflows: at Higher autonomy, After a meeting and Weekly wrap-up, each switched on separately
  • Activity and Undo: everything Nodis did, prepared or held back, with why and the setting at the time; anything it did on its own can be undone
  • Pause: stops everything except reading and answering, from any page
  • Everything is reversible: any link Nodis makes can be changed or removed
  • Your access, nothing more: Nodis only uses what you've connected and what you can open
Questions

Common questions

Do I have to organize everything before Nervus is useful?

No. Name one or two areas, or none at all. Nodis organizes the rest as you work.

What if Nodis puts something in the wrong place?

Click the tag on the item and pick the right one. Nodis learns from every correction.

Will Nodis change my Google Drive, calendar or Zoom?

No. Those connections are read-only. Nodis reads them to prepare you and never edits them.

What about Jira, Asana and Notion?

Those stay in step both ways, so you can work on synced tasks from Nervus. Your changes go to the original tool first, and the tool wins if both sides change at once.

Will the notetaker join meetings without me knowing?

No. It stays off until you turn it on for Google Meet or Zoom, and it joins as a visible participant.

Who can see my work?

Only people who could already open it. Nervus never shows someone an item they don't have access to in the original tool.
